The Game of “Phnoracle”

Oracle works quite well over the phone. A special energy comes from in-person encounters, but telephoning is a lot quicker. If some important issue or question arises, you can phone a friend—preferably someone with whom you have had previous Oracle experience—and come up with answers on the spot. I call this the Game of Phnoracle.

Forget the First Commandment

We have already noted several exceptions to the first commandment of Image Streaming: Thou shalt not interpret for thy partner.

In the Game of Oracle, there is no first commandment at all. The picture answers you get in the Game of Oracle, unlike those in other Image Streaming situations, are as likely to be given in the questioner’s code as in the code of the answerer. Interpretation, therefore, becomes fair game for anyone.
